Qi Gong
What is Qigong?
Qigong is a Chinese exercise system for maintaining health and developing spirituality. Originally known by the name Daoyin, its origins stretch back thousands of years. Qigong (also written as Chi Kung) has much in common with yoga in that it works on the body, breath and mind.

Qigong is an umbrella term that covers many different practices, some static, some dynamic. Some systems consist of individual exercises, others link the movements into long sequences known as forms.

Whilst Qigong and Tai Chi are related, Qigong is the more ancient system and generally done for health and spirituality, whilst Tai Chi is considered to be a martial art. However, the distinctions are often quite blurred.
